Non-Surgical Procedures
Periodontal therapy consists of non-surgical and surgical procedures. Both procedures are aimed at arresting the breakdown of the supporting structures of the teeth (including the gums) and creating a stable environment.
Although there is no “cure” for periodontal disease, there are ways to control the progression and dramatically minimize the risk of tooth loss.

If you are diagnosed with periodontal disease, periodontal surgery may be recommended. Periodontal surgery is necessary when it has been determined that the tissue around your teeth is unhealthy and cannot be repaired with non-surgical treatment.
